The 'Alternate Living' book looks to offer a glimpse into the lives of people on the periphery of society, whether nestled high up in the mountains far from paved roads and running water, or tucked away down an unforgiving Arctic fjord accessible only by boat.

Renowned photographer and co-founder of Stay & Wander, Alex Strohl, embarks on an epic adventure through some of the most remote parts of Europe. Along for the ride, #TheCreatorClass joined Alex for ten days as he headed through the Alps, getting a first-hand look at Strohl's photography.

ABOUT THE BOOK

The goal was initially to answer why, what do these people gain from their perceived sacrifices, what about these various and alternative lifestyles makes them continue to avoid conformity. Yet as the journey went on, the question seemed to turn inward, why do I live the way I do? Perhaps it is a question you can only answer for yourself, often without a distinct choice. Yet in spending just a short time with these people one thing did become clear, that the simpler you seem to live, the more obvious your reasons for why.
